Each year,  ORE AAUW awards scholarships to two or more young women graduating from area high schools and pursuing higher education.  Recently, we have focused scholarship funds on those we have mentored since their junior high days as Tech Trekkers.   Young women who are successful in their first year of college may receive additional funding as they progress through college.  These students have demonstrated academic excellence, goal orientation and community involvement. A team of our members interviews the candidates and selects the scholarship recipients.

Scholarship funds are raised by our members each year, mainly through our annual fundraising event.   Our branch has 501c4 status under the IRS code, and we maintain our funds in a Stanislaus Foundation account.
